I finally got the bike working after two weeks of it being in the shop. The guys at M-Tech motorcycles in Bend Oregon said it was a miracle I limped it from Calgary as everything in the engine was either seized, bent, or bunt. I ended up getting the engine upgrade to the 685cc kit to give myself a bit more power when hauling my luggage up the mountain roads. I felt like a little child on Christmas when I picked up the bike and rode it down through Oregon into California.
I decided to go on a short trip down to Crater Lake National Park since it was only 2 hours from Bend and the roads through the mountains looked awesome. Filled with winding roads, mountains and wild life the drive through Oregon had all the makings of a beautiful day trip. Right now I’m just happy to be mobile and back in adventure mode.
